Pau Gubarsi has thanked new Barcelona boss Hansi Flick for putting his trust in him despite not taking part in pre-season.
Barcelona youngster Pau Gubarsi has praised Hansi Flick’s approach to working with his players, with the German coach getting closer to his players and providing them with help both on and off the pitch, the Catalan broadcaster told ESport3 on Thursday.
‘Flick is a coach who is very close to the players, he always tries to help you even off the pitch and comes to you when you need something,’ Gubarsi said of the German boss.
Asked about the changes Flick has brought to the team. Gubarsi replied: ‘Maybe it’s not a change of mindset, but he has changed the fact that we are more positive and chase opponents from the first minute.’
Gubarsi has been absent from pre-season due to his involvement in the Olympics and he has admitted he has doubts over whether Flick will be given a chance when he reports back to the club.
‘I wasn’t sure if I would start, he trusted me, I’m very grateful. I want to give 100 per cent so he can continue to rely on me,’ the 17-year-old defender said.
Gubarsi also spoke about his remarkable growth over Promotion Ufabet the past eight months, saying: ‘I still can’t take it for granted. I try to do the same to improve and help my teammates on and off the pitch. I’m very happy with what I’ve achieved.’
